Jeff was born October 27, 1981 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of the Rockwall Ward of the Church of Jusus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a sophomore of Rowlett Eagle Marching Band. Sharing his love of music is Stephanie, his 12 year old sister. He wanted to follow the examples of his older brothers, Todd, age 20, a missionary in Mendoza, Argentina, and Scott, age 18, who is preparing to serve a mission.
Jeff is also survived by his parents, Mark and Chris Blackhurst, grandparents, Robert H. and Virginia Blackhurst, Salt Lake City; grandparents, Elmer M. and Sharleen Fonnesbeck, Lake Placid, Florida, 14 aunts and uncles, 18 cousins, and many other loving relatives. Jeff will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 9, 1997, 2 p.m. at the Woodledge Ward, 4444 So. Early Duke St., West Valley City, where friends may call Saturday 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park. Funeral Directors, Peel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made to Jeff Blackhurst Memorial Scholarship Fund, Rowlett High School Bank, 4700 Kirby, Rowlett, Texas 75088.
