Jill lived alone in her Syracuse apartment. Jill's mother Joanne Browning reports having last spoken to her on the phone on Jan 28. During that phone conversation, Jill agreed to go to dinner at her mother's home that evening but never showed up. Mrs. Browning says that the following day, she called the clothing shop where Jill worked, and an employee told her that Jill never came to work that day. Jill's mother then went to her daughter's apartment to check on her. When she opened the unlocked door, she found Jill stabbed to death. There has not been any arrest at this time, nor do they have any suspects.
