Daughter of Johann Nikolas Angst (1770-1814) m6 Feb 1798 in Orbis, Pfalz, Bayern Anna Maria Hauenstein (1773-1833). They lived in Morschheim and Sippersfield, Pfalz, Bayern.
Elizabetha married Johannes Schneider (1797 - 1847) on 8 Jul 1821. They had 8 known children.
One son, Ludwig Schneider b1838 in Sippersfield, Bayern died before 1844 in Sippersfield.

On Dec. 1, 1850 widow Elizabetha arrived in N.Y. on the Prince Albert with 6 children and 3 grandchildren. They remained in N. Y. city until eldest, daughter Anna Margaretha (1821-1851/5), who had come earlier, and son Johannes (John) could earn enough to bring them to Illinois.

The Angst family was deeply committed to the German Evangelical Association and many male members became ordained ministers including son John Schneider.

Immigrant Elizabetha lived with her children in turn. She spent her last years with her daughter Phoeba (Schenk-later records spell SHANK) Zahn on their farm home in Lyman Township, Ford Co. IL.
