Geraldine (Gerri) Addis, 78, of Vanderbilt, died Sunday, September 2, 2007, in the Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, Pa., surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Grindstone, Pa., on November 21, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Reba Fullert Shazer. Gerri was a retired employee of the CRH Catering Company. Surviving are her husband, Ronald E. (Slick) Addis; a daughter, Saundra R. Majic and husband, Jack of Fairmount W.Va.; a son, Ronald Addis, Jr., and wife, Leona of Vanderbilt; four grandchildren: Ryan Majic, Aaron Majic, Ronald E. Addis III and Rachael Addis. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Petrosky and Loretta Lowther and a brother, Joseph Shazer, Jr. Friends will be received in the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, in Dawson, Pa. today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday until 11 a.m. the hour of the service with the Rev. David A. Bell and Elder Richard Lowther officiating. Interment is in the Dickerson Run Cemetery.
