ROCHELLE - Orville C. Good Sr. 74, of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at home with his loving family by his side.

He was born Sept. 21, 1932, in Oregon, the son of Harold and Bessie (Cox) Good. On March 22, 1952, he married the love of his life, Virginia Holloway, who he affectionately called "Squirt." He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Rochelle, and a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed camping trips at his place "Up North" in Wisconsin, and enjoyed golfing.

He was a "master" of Carpentry and was employed by Morton Buildings, Orville Good & Son Citgo Gas Station and Eber Remodeling. He touched the hearts of everyone, and was always willing to lend a hand with his excellent carpentry skills.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia of Rochelle; three daughters, Jean (Carroll) Cordes of Rochelle, Kathy (Bill) Pifer of Rogers, Ark., and Diane Good of Rochelle; one son, Orville (Linda) Good Jr. of Rochelle; four sisters, Mary Hoffman, Shirley Hodges and Sharon Good, all of Oregon, and Phyllis (Leonard) Hose of Shannon; one brother, Donnie (Carla) Good of Necedah, Wis.; 12 grandchildren, Tricia (Kent) Lodico, Brad (Karen) Cordes, Julie (Bob) Sykes, Amy (Tony) Salkill, Derek (Karen) Good, Jeremy Good, Jacob Good, Andrew Good, Russ Gittleson, Nicky Gittleson, Jesse Myers and Kelsey Myers; and 10 great-grandchildren, Riley Lodico, Isabella Lodico, Liam Cordes, Zackery Sykes, Britnee Sykes, Shaylyn Sykes, Christopher Foster, Cody Foster, Hunter Salkill and Bryar Good.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2007, at Faith Lutheran Church, Rochelle, with the Rev. Steve Dow presiding.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth ST., Rochelle. Burial will be at Lawnridge Cemetery, Rochelle.
