Maria Boyd was widowed in 1877 when her husband Myles A Boyd was killed in a mining accident.

She married Myles Boyd, son of James Boyd, on 4 February 1846 at Carrownree, Skreen, Sligo, Ireland.

Mrs Maria BOYD 1019 West Market St died yesterday at home. Surviving are 4 sons and 2 daughters; Myles, John, Joseph, Thomas and Mrs. James H. RILEY of Scranton and Mrs. Ann CAMPBELL of Park City, Utah. 2 brothers James SALTRY and Alderman Thomas SALTRY and 1 sister Mrs, Michael Mc HUGH. Services Holy Rosary parish, interment Cathedral cemetery.
