Mrs. Ross Bird died Wednesday morning at 6 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frederick Uhelry, in Vandergrift. Mrs. Bird, a native of Somerset, had lived here all her life until the death of her husband in 1922, when she moved to Vandergrift with her daughter. Mrs. Bird was born January 20, 1852, the daughter of Christopher and Susan Wright Garlitz. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church. Surviving is the above mentioned daughter, Mrs. Uhelry, and a son, Frank Bird, of Somerset, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed, although the body will be buried beside that of her husband in the Husband Cemetery. [Unknown Source]
