Barbara Ruth Chamberlin 1919 - 2011 Barbara Ruth Chamberlin, 92, passed away on Monday, June 20, peacefully of natural causes, at her nieces home in Exeter, CA. Barbara was born in Bakersfield on April 17, 1919 and lived there her entire life. She was an active life member of the Pocahontas Lodge in Bakersfield until her death. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she also worked at several Basque Restaurants in Bakersfield including "The Wool Growers" for 50 years, she worked until she was 82. She loved crocheting and gardening. She is survived by her son Bill of Oildale, CA., her brother Dean Lemaster of Bakersfield, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Bud, and her son Robert. A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 26, from 12 to 4 at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd. in Bakersfield followed by a graveside service on Monday, June 27, at 10:00 a.m. Greenlawn Mortuary www.bakersfield.com/obits
