THE PARIS NEWS, THURSDAY, MAY 23, 1996 - CLARKSVILLE - Morris M. "Jack" Barnett, 69, of Clarksville died Tuesday, May 21, 1996, in East Texas Medical Center of Clarksville. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 23, in Temple Baptist Church with burial in Woodman Cemetery in DeKalb. The Rev. B.G. Bowden and the Rev. A.B. Kellam officiated.

Mr. Barnett was born in Purcell, Oklahoma July 30, 1926, a son of John William and Sudie Mae Hamlin Barnett. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a life member of VFW Post 8185 of Bogota. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Martha Beck September 27. 1968.

Surviving are his wife; two sons; three daughters; one sister; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
