POTSDAM - Carol Irene Belshaw, 66, of 13408 Main St., Williston, S.C., formerly of Potsdam, died Saturday at Richland Hospital, Columbia, SC.
Mrs. Belshaw worked for Bell Telephone in Potsdam and was a secretary at Potsdam High School and in the art department at Potsdam State University College. In 1980, she moved to South Carolina, where she was a secretary for Chem-Nuclear.
She was member of Victory Baptist Church in South Carolina.
Born Jan. 17, 1937, in Pierrepont, daughter of William Theodore and Irene Margaret Guyette Kyle; she graduated from Potsdam High School in 1954 and attended Rochester Business Institute.
She married Robert John Belshaw on Dec. 24, 1958 in Georgia. Mr. Belshaw died before her.
Surviving are her mother, Irene G Kyle, Williston; two daughters and their husbands, Tami and Charles Reynolds, Williston, and Carolyn and Robin Decker, Cortland; a sister Mrs. Adam (Martha) Helmer, Canton and five grandchildren.
A son, William Robert, died shortly after birth.
There will be a graveside service at 9:45 am Thursday in Crary Mills Cemetery with the Rev. William Hart officiating.
Arrangements are with Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton.
