Gus & Clara had 4 children who died in infancy: Emil who was born & died in Germany, Clara who died while they were in Ft Wayne, IN & twin daughters who were born & died in Kansas City, MO. The Werner 'family bible' indicates Clara died in 1882 and was between siblings Al & Hattie. I believe Clara was born in Germany. No name has been found for the second twin to date.

Grandfather of young Clara L Werner and Baby Girl Werner who are buried a few rows east of Gustave in Union Cemetery.
