FITCH - Suddenly, of apoplexy, on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 3, 1875, at the United States Hotel, this city, Timothy S. Fitch, Esq., in the 45th year of his age.
Deceased was born in the State of New York, and removed to Illinois while yet a youth. He has been a constant resident of the city of Chicago since about the year 1858. He became early engaged in real estate affairs and had become one of the most prominent of our city builders and real estate operators at the time of his death.

Mr. Timothy S. Fitch, an old resident of Chicago, died last Sabbath at the United States Hotel, corner of Cottage Grove avenue and Thirty-first street. The deceased was 45 years of age and leaves a family. The funeral will take place to-morrow forenoon at 11 o'clock from the hotel, whence the remains will be conveyed to Graceland for interment.

SUDDEN DEATH OF MR. T.S. FITCH
We learn from the Chicago Journal that Mr. Timothy S. Fitch died suddenly in Chicago on Sunday, from apopleptic stroke.
The Journal says:
Mr. Fitch was forty-five years of age. He was born in Ticonderoga, northern New York, removed to Illinois while yet a youth, and had resided in Chicago since 1858. He was largely interested in real estate, particularly in the southern suburbs, he having platted and laid out the villages of Woodlawn and South Shore. At the time of his death, he was residing at the United States Hotel. He leaves a large fortune to his widow. A large circle of friends and relatives in this city mourn his sudden demise.
The funeral will take place from the U.S. Hotel, Wednesday, at 11 a.m., to Graceland.
Mr. Fitch was a brother of John Fitch, Esq., and formerly resided in Alton, where he has many friends. His death, in the prime of manhood, will be greatly regretted.
