Alfred Bruno Jentsch passed away on 22 June 2011 at the Eden Home in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 101. Alfred was born to Hermann and Hedwig (Penshorn) Jentsch on 24 April 1910 in the Mission Valley Community. He attended the Mission Valley School until the fifth grade when he had to quit school to help his dad on the farm after his mother passed away. He was baptized and confirmed in the First Protestant Church in New Braunfels and remained a faithful member until his passing. His first job away from home was helping his uncle paint houses in New Braunfels. After this he worked as part-owner in the auto service station business. In 1929 he went to work as an auto mechanic for Mr. Arlon Krueger at Krueger Motor Company and worked for the company for 36 years. In 1945, Alfred married Vera Jubela Reinhard and they enjoyed 56 years of married life together. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera, his parents, brother, Arthur Jentsch, and sister-in-law, Eugenia Jentsch. Alfred loved the outdoors and animals. He loved his horse in his younger years and loved deer hunting in Comal County and South Texas all his life.
