Mrs. Daisy Bell Andrews Marek, wife of Henry Ward Marek, died Tuesday night at her home, 921 Hinton Street, after a long illness.
Mrs. Marek was born in Chesterfield County, a daughter of the late Eldridge and Elizabeth Cheetham Andrews. She had made her home in Petersburg since 1939 and was a retired employe of the Seward Luggage Company.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bernard Raymond Mayes of Petersburg and Samuel C. Mayes of Dinwiddie County; two brothers, Iview Andrews of Prince George County and Clarewood H. Andrews of Chesterfield County; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son with the Rev. Eslie Phillips, pastor of West End Baptist Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Burial will be in Blandford Cemetery.
