Joyce DeHaven, 56, died at 6:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994 at her home.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Harris Cemetery in Lancaster, with Rev. Leroy Allison officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem.

DeHaven was born May 8, 1938 in Albion, the daughter of John Harold and Lola Marie (Gawthorp) Neikirk. She married Edwin Carrell and he died May 12, 1981. She then married Lee DeHaven July 7, 1985 in Flora.

She worked 14 years at North American Lighting Company and also worked at the Internation Shoe Factory in Flora and Illinois Glove Company in Effingham.

She is survived by her husband, of Flora; her father and step-mother, Harold and Betty Neikirk; a daughter, Vicki Blackwell, of Flora; six brothers, John Neikirk, of West Salem, Robert Neikirk, of Albion, Steven Neikirk, Larry Neikirk, Eugene Neikirk, and Terry Neikirk, all of Mt. Carmel; a step-brother, Danny Painter, of Geff; four sisters, Linda Perkins, Kathy Neikirk, Marilyn Turpin and Judy Landingham, all of Mt. Carmel; step-sister, Cathy Neikirk, of Albion; and two grandchildren.

DeHaven was preceded in death by her mother, her first husband and a grandson.
