CHARLES CITY - Memorial services for Virgil "Bud" Grossmann, 63, of Sun City, Calif., formerly of Charles City, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hage Funeral Home, Charles City; burial in Riverside Cemetery. He died of a heart attack last Tuesday (Jan. 19, 1988) at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, Calif.

Survivors include his wife. Betty; two sons, Ronald of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Richard of Fort Collins, Colo.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Janice Dunkelburg of West Covina, Calif., and Audrey Smith of La Verne, Calif.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home;

Mr. Grossmann owned and operated Grossmann Funeral Home, now Hage Funeral Home, in Charles City for 10 years and also owned Grossmann Funeral Home, Rockford. He and his wife moved to Riverside, Calif., in 1953 and he worked for Stuart Co. as a pharmaceutical representative for 28 years, retiring in 1981; he and his wife then moved to Sun City, Calif., where he was a real estate salesman until his death.
