GIBSON, Donna Sue Cochran, owner of Commercial Tarp & Awning, passed away Feb. 9, 2003. She was born January 30, 1938 to Irene and Amos Cochran. She is survived by her husband, Bill Gibson; son, Mark Stunkard; daughter, Sue Forman; 3 grandchildren, Danny, Jake and Lisa Stunkard; mother, Irene Cochran; sister, Rhonda Cochran-Cline and husband, Steven; 2 nephews, William and Eric Cochran-Cline; aunt, Betty Caskey; and many cousins; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Amos Cochran; a husband, Herb Church; and a grandchild, David Forman. Donna was an Eastern Star member and graduated from Will Rogers in 1955. She entered nursing school at Hillcrest, but had to discontinue that due to a horse accident at Pawhuska Cavalcade, so she started a career with Sinclair and Shell Oil Co., but horses were never forgotten. She taught riding, breaking horses and was a judge of Palominos in and out of the state. She was a member of the Quarter Horse Assn. and the Oklahoma Racing Assn. Her horses raced at Fair Meadows, Remington, Sallisaw, Will Rogers Downs and many other parks. Service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, February 13, at the Bixby Free Will Baptist Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
