We would take them to Granny and she would boil them for me.
She never learned to drive.
In her Golden Years, she claimed a doll as her baby.

Final rites for Mrs. W. I. Bowman, 76, of Rt. 2, Bogue Chitto, were held today at 2:30 p.m. from Mount Moriah Baptist Church with burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Mrs. Bowman died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula after a long illness.
A native Lincoln Countian, Mrs. Bowman was the former Axie Pittman. She was Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Mrs. Bowman is survived by six sons, Johnny Bowman, Long Beach, William Henry and Clifford Bowman, both of Bogue Chitto, Herman Bowman of Brookhaven, Charles Bowman of Millbrook, Ala.,, Willie I. Bowman, Maderia Calif., three daughters, Mrs. Leon Brister, Moss Point, Mrs. M. F. Knipp, Jr., Gulfport, Mrs. R. L. Evans, Gretna, La., a sister, Mrs. W. L. Roberts, Hamburg, Arkansas; 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Herman, Clark and Sidney Bowman, Michael Evans, Johnny Earl Bowman, Murrell Knipp III.
