Emelia Caroline Grohman-Wilkins-Schmidt-Bearkeman is my 1st cousin, twice removed and my grand aunt. She was born to Frank August Grohman Sr and Mary Anna Meuth. This photo was taken at her first wedding to William E. Wilkins in 1910. Emelia Grohman and William E. Wilkins were married on the same day as Emelia's brother Adolph Grohman and Clara Goertz, October 25, 1910. From my cousin Ray Lagleder's mother notes this was a double wedding and the celebration was at Frank Grohman Sr. homeplace in Bastrop County, Texas. A platform was constructed so they could dance and Ray's mother was one of Emelia's bridesmaid.

She later married my Uncle Albert George Schmidt in 1918, and her third husband Edward W. Bearkeman in 1944.
