Mrs. Maleata Harris
Dies Of Auto Injuries

Mrs. Maleata May Harris, 31*, Morrison Camp Ground Road, Rte. 6, died at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on the Kingston Road.
Mrs. Harris was born in Schenectady, N. Y., but had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County since 1953 moving here from Schenectady. She had been associated with Floyd Hospital in the nursery department for seven years and was a member of Dykes Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Edward M. Harris, to whom she was married in January 1949; three daughters, Julia May, Maleata Ann and Julia Kay Harris, all of Rome, Rte. 6; parents, Mrs Florence Baum and Karl Baum, both of Schenectady, N. Y.
Funeral announcements are incomplete, pending arrival of the parents from Schenectady and will be announced later by Jennings Funeral Home.

Funeral Set Saturday
For Mrs. Maleata Harris

Funeral services for Mrs. Maleata May Harris, 32, of Morrison Camp Ground Road, Rome Rte 6., who died Tuesday as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dykes Creek Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. W. A. Parker officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Jennings Funeral Home and the family will receive friends there from 7 until 9 o'clock Friday night. At other hours the family will be at the residence.
Mrs. Harris had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County since 1953 and was associated with Floyd Hospital in the nursery department. She was a native of Schenectady, N. Y. and a member of Dykes Creek Baptist Church.
Jennings Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
