Maxine was born May 20, 1924, in Marshalltown, the daughter of William A. and Dorothea Westman Inman. She graduated from the Albion High School in 1942, and was united in marriage to John C. Eich on October 14, 1943, in Washington D.C. They resided in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Omaha, Nebraska, before returning to Marshalltown. Maxine was a homemaker and an active member of St Mary Catholic Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a Girl Scout Leader, and a volunteer Advocate at Grandview Nursing Home.
Maxine will be missed by her children, John C (Ginger) Eich, Jr, Marge M (David) Huff, both of Marshalltown, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Cox; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Eich, Dolores Eich, Barb Edsall, many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Bud Jensen. Maxine joins in eternal life, her loving husband of 56 years, John, sister Avis Matchie, brothers Paul, James, William and Arthur Inman.
