Donna Katherine Yeisley, age 64, of Independence, Missouri died Friday, May 15, 2009 at her home. Donna was born in Kansas City, MO on March 8, 1945 to Rudolph and Katherine (Whitt) Ellis. Donna had worked in home healthcare and for the KC Auto Auction. She attended the Sheffield Family Life Center in Kansas City, MO and had lived in Raytown for several years before moving to Independence last year. She is survived by her son, Samuel Hewitt, Independence, MO; three daughters, Lisa M. King, Independence, MO; Heather Gippner, Raytown, MO; and Carla Rodriguez, Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Bobby Ellis, Raytown, MO; and Rudy L. Ellis, Kearney, MO; three sisters, Connie Rouhl, Kansas City, MO; Joanne Langford, Cameron, MO; and Debra Sue Gregory, Independence, MO; thirteen grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rudy D. Ellis and Michael Ellis, two sisters, Judy Mackley, and Rhonda Huff, and two nephews, Larry Downey and Shann Camp. Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be held from 11 am until time of services Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Huffstutler, John Huffstutler, Richard King, Samuel Hewitt, Rudy Ellis, and Frank Ellis.
2014 her son Sam was murdered.
