Bessie, 98, of Harrison passed away peacefully on Sunday, at Tendercare of Clare. Bessie was the daughter of Frank and Francis Mary (Barina) Sedlacek.
Bessie was united in marriage to Mr. Lloyd Curtis on May 23, 1931 in Owosso, Michigan. Mr. Curtis preceded Bessie in death in 1986.
Mrs. Curtis had resided in Harrison since 1979, coming from Owosso.
Surviving Bessie are her two adopted daughters: Tamar Lee Brewer of Harrison and Marie Fowler and husband Alwin of Corunna, Michigan, one sister, Valsta Schumaker of Owosso, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Curtis also was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Millie Snell and two brothers: Frank Sedlacek and Ed Sedlacek.
In following Mrs. Curtis's wishes, cremation has taken place.
