Alice, the youngest of seven children, married Tom Jones, the oldest of seven children, on December 26, 1942 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carlyle, Illinois. They started married life in the Carlyle community and had three young children.

In 1950 they moved to Waynesville, Missouri where their fourth child was born.
Tom worked at Fort Leonard Wood with the Missouri Vending Company. Alice worked for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, and was a PX manager at Fort Leonard Wood for a number of years. She and Tom worked together in hotel management after their children were raised.

Alice raised her children in the Catholic faith and was active in the Alter and Rosary Society. She was also a volunteer in many other areas of her St Bellarmine Catholic Church of St. Robert, Missouri. She was a crafter, and was especially talented in crochet, making everything from doilies to blankets. Her beadwork stars are still treasures on the Christmas tree every year. Her family and friends enjoyed her cooking and she loved cooking for them. Her desserts, especially chocolate chip cookies, were a favorite of her grandchildren.

Alice died at age 79 after complications from heart surgery in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
