Former Metropolitan of Herzegovina-Zahumlje, Leontije Radulović was born in 1835, and received the name Luke on his baptism.

He entered seminary in Belgrade, but had to leave due to illness. At a later date, in 1856, he was ordained hierodeacon and monk, receiving the name of Leontije.

Ordained to the priesthood in Mostar, he was arrested by the Turkish Authorities and sent to six years in captivity in Africa following in the uprising of the Serbs in Herzegovina. Following his release, he moved to Dubrovnik where he stayed for three years.

Back in Mostar in 1879, he Archimandrite and the secretary of the Metropolitan Ignatius, but in 1882, was arrested again, this time from the Austrian government.

Elected Metropolitan of Zahumlje-Herzegovina on February 16 1888, he died of tuberculosis on the following October 12 and was buried in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Mostar.

The cathedral of Mostar was mined in 1992. On Friday, November 13, 2009, while preparations were being made for the reconstruction of the cathedral church, the remains of Radulović were exhumed. To the amazement of those present, his body was found incorrupt.

His body was transferred to the church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary where it rested until the restoration of the cathedral.
