HUNTINGTON - Edwin C. Huntington Sr. of 1598 Orchard Street died February 8, 1961. He was born April 12, 1899 in Cosmopolis, Washington and and had been a resident of this community for the past 22 years. He was a member of Eugene Lodge Number 11 AF & AM, Eugene Scottish Rite, a Veteran of World War I, Springfield Rotary Club and the Fairmount Presbyterian Church. He was a partner and Manager of the Huntington Shingle Company. Beloved husband of Helen, and father of Robert E. of Springfield, Edwin C. Jr., Fredrick B., James R., Bruce, Susan, Nancy and Priscilla all of Eugene; brother of Walter L. of Mapleton and Mrs. H.G. Root of Hoquiam, Washington; 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 1961 at 11 a.m. in Simon-Lounsbury Funeral Chapel. Rev. Elwyn Teache officiating. Interment in Lane Memorial Gardens with Eugene Lodge Number 11 AF & AM officiating.
