Billie Jo Oberley, 38 years old and a lifelong resident of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 at her residence from complications following an illness of scleroderma for fourteen years.

She was born on Wednesday, July 12, 1972 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of Don J. and Diana J. (Hart) Gerardot. She married Larry J. Oberley on May 1, 1998 in St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, Indiana.

She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Home & School Association of St. Joseph Catholic School. She was also a former school board member.

Billie was a graduate of Heritage High School in 1990 and also a graduate of International Business College. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Larry J Oberley of Monroeville; son, Max A. Oberley, at home; parents, Don J. & Diana J. Gerardot of Monroeville; brother, Donny (Jean) Gerardot of Convoy, Ohio; and mother-in-law, Theresa E. Oberley of Monroeville.

A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Steve Colchin to officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1-5 and 6-9 p.m., Monday, June 20 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana.

Preferred memorials are Masses to the church, Home & School Association of St. Joseph Catholic School or Family Hospice & Palliative Care of NE Indiana.

BILLIE JO OBERLEY, 38, lifelong resident of Monroeville, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011, 10:20 a.m., at her residence, from complications following an illness of sclero-derma for fourteen years.

Born July 12, 1972, in Fort Wayne, she was a graduate of Heritage High School in 1990, and International Business College. She married Larry J. Oberley on May 1, 1998, in St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville, he survives. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Home & School Association at St. Joseph Catholic School. She was also a former school board member. She was a homemaker.
