Born Jun 19, 1883, in Oravais, Finland, she was the daughter of Carl and Maria Thors Westlund. Her parents were from Sweden, living in Finland.
In 1898, at the age of 15, she came to America to join her sister who was living in Escanaba, Mich. After working there for a few years, she moved to Seattle, Wash. and then to Butte, Mont.
In Butte, she met and was married to Hjalmar Anderson Nov. 4, 1914.
In 1920 they came to Idaho Falls where Mr. Anderson and his partner John Tillman built a planing mill on S. water Ave. He operated the mill until 1946 when his sons took over. Mr. Anderson died March 27 1960.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Lily Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include two sons, Earl Anderson and Carl Anderson, both of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Vera) McGinnis, also of Idaho Falls; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
