Wallie August Alessi, 67, a native of Memphis, Tenn., and a resident of Foley, died Sunday July 4, 2010, after a short battle with cancer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Alessi of Foley; two sons, Leo E. (Jennifer) Alessi of Memphis and Joseph L. Alessi of Foley; one grandson, Alexander James Alessi of Memphis; sister, Judith Ann (David) Cupp of Memphis; niece, Leanne (Alan) Phelps of Memphis; grand niece, Cara Hames of Memphis; first cousin, Larry Alessi of Memphis; first cousin, Pat Bloodworth of Oakland, Miss.; uncle and aunt Leo and Angie Kline of Oakland, Miss.; and many other cousins.
Rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 10 at St Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Foley. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 17 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Memphis.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
