Born in Walnutport, Pa., he was a son of the late Dean and Elizabeth Miles Conklin.
He was employed by Fairchild Republic for 25 years and also operated the Philips 66 Service Station on Pennsylvania Avenue for seveal years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vivian D. Hovermale Conklin; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Kendicks of Maugansville, and Mrs. Sandra Becker of Hagerstown; and one grandson.
