John A. Ross
Former Ridgway Resident Died at St. Marys Hospital Sunday.
John A. Ross, aged 82 years, a former well-known resident of Ridgway expired at the Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital at St. Marys, Sunday morning, August 31 at 2:10 o'clock. Complications of diseases was given as cause of death. Funeral services were held from the VanAken Funeral Home here this morning at 10 o'clock. Burial was made in Pine Grove Cemetery. Rev. J. A. Galbraith, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church officiated. The pall bearers were H. McDonald, William Minor, Otto Allison and T. J. Duffee.
Mr. Ross came to Ridgway in the year of 1878 and was actively engaged as a building contractor. He resided here until a few years ago when he became in inmate of the county home near St. Marys.
The deceased was well and favorably known here and his many friends regretted to learn of his death. Mr Ross never married and is survived by two brothers, William S. Ross, of Grove Avenue and Izaac (Isaac) Ross of St. Marys.

Ross, aged 82, a former resident of Ridgway, calls to mind that he was not only an excellent citizen of this place, but had a reputation of a high grade of craftsmanship in the trade of carpenter and contractor. Mr. Ross had a great part in erecting many building in Ridgway. His work was always honest and first class.
