She was born in Muncie, the daughter of Cathenis and Jessie (Davis) Runyon.
Barbara married the love of her life, Haskel Kenneth Criswell, Sr., and they enjoyed 28 years together prior to his passing in 1980.
Mrs. Criswell had worked for the Tuttle Corporation, Ball Brothers Corporation, and finally Muncie Gear, all as a machine operator. She was a homemaker most of the time. Barbara was affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church. Family times with her grandchildren were very important to her. She enjoyed decorating the house for Christmas, traveling, and watching birds.
...She was preceded in death by her husband, Haskell Criswell, Sr.; her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Joe Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time.
