Isobel Auld was an incredible woman. She never married. Very well educated. She worked many years for the Red Cross and was stationed in Italy and Japan during World War II. She traveled all over the country when there was a need for help. World traveler. Member of the DAR. Author of poetry, "The Journey", published in 1988, it is very good. I love reading her submissions to the Editorials in the Herald and Review in Decatur, Ill., intelligent and sassy.
This world needs more like her.
