Aurlette Schipper, 90, a former teacher, died Friday, March 10, 1995, at the Rock Rapids Health Centre.

Aurlette Ada Hoag was born Sept. 29, 1904, in Manson, Iowa, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught country school near Manson for several years.

She married Fred Schipper November 14, 1934, in Oelwein, Iowa. The moved to Larchwood, Iowa, and in the early 1940s they moved to Rock Rapids. Mr. Schipper died in 1978. On May 29, 1992, she moved to the Rock Rapids Health Centre.

She was a member of the United Methodist Churh, the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter, Edith Perry of Corbin, Kentucky; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids, with burial in the Larchwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Roste Funeral Home in Rock Rapids, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
