Mary May Gabel married Diedrich "Dick" Bohlken at the Presbyterian Church manse in LeMars, Iowa, May 7, 1916, attended by Mary Gabel and Albert Bohlken. They made their home in Akron where Dick ran a Livery business.
They became the parents of four children, one of whom is still living. The three deceased children are Lucille May Brown, Thelma Eloise Elder and Darrell Richard Bohlken.
After Dick died in 1944. Mary followed her family to California where she remained close to her family for the rest of her life.
