Ringgold, LA – Funeral services for Virginia Spencer Cobb, 87, will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Rockett Funeral Home Chapel in Ringgold, LA. Interment will follow at Wimberly Cemetery in Ringgold, LA. Officiating the services will be Rev. Ed Dilworth. Visitation will be held from noon until service time on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, LA. Ms. Virginia passed away on June 10, 2011 from complications related to an automobile accident. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Cobb. Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Jack Cobb, James Ray "Jimmy" Cobb and Judy Cobb Whiteman, all residents of Ringgold, LA; six grandchildren, James Cobb of Longbeach, CA, Jonathan Cobb of Rockport, CN, Thor Cobb of Shreveport, LA, Scot Whiteman of West Monroe, LA, Chris Whiteman of Shreveport, LA, and Kirk Whiteman of Shreveport, LA; six great grandchildren, Seth Whiteman, Luke Whiteman, Emily Whiteman, Lana Whiteman, Eden Whiteman, and Laurel Whiteman; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, James Cobb, Jonathan Cobb, Thor Cobb, Scot Whiteman, Chris Whiteman, and Kirk Whiteman. Mrs. Virginia led an active life until her death with numerous business interests that included manufacturing, farming and real estate. She was quite a spirited person and not afraid to take on even the government in a legal battle. She was kind and generous and loved to play Bridge every Friday and work the geneology of her family tree. She was beloved by friends and family.

Cobb, Virginia Spencer, 87, of Ringgold, died Friday; funeral services at 2 p.m. today at Rockett Funeral Home, Ringgold; burial in Wimberly Cemetery, Ringgold.
