Allen, Jim Jourdan
Jim Jourdan Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. M.H. Allen, residing 10 miles southeast of Corinth, in the Jacinto community, died Wednesday night at 9:25 o'clock after an illness of nearly three weeks with pneunomia.
Everything that loving hands could do was done for the young man, and even a few hours before his death he was thought to be improving and his death is a shock to the entire neighborhood.
The young fellow was 14 years of age, the favorite of his father, and had many friends in the vicinity in which he lived.
He is survived by his father and mother, and three brothers and five sisters, Sidney and Gilbert Allen and Millard F. Allen, of Haleyville, Ala., Miss Reathie Belle and Paulinie Allen, Mrs. Page of Ballinger, Texas, Mrs. E. C. Rider and Mrs. Tom Johns, of this county.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon by Elder N. Hardwick and the body laid to rest in the Jacinto Cemetery.
