The Oklahoman, Saturday, August 22, 1959:
Mrs Essie Hayden Hunt, 66, widow of Albert C. Hunt, state Supreme Court Justice, died Friday in Wesley Hospital. Services will be at 11 am Monday in St Luke's Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Hahn-Cook Funeral Home. Mrs Hunt became suddenly ill Thursday night at her home, 439 NW 18.

She was born in Choutau. In 1914 she was married to the late justice. They lived in Tulsa from 1917 to 1931 when they moved to Oklahoma City. Judge Hunt was appointed to the state Supreme Court in 1955. He died in 1956.

Surviving are two sons, John, 1117 Huntington, and Albert, Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Mrs Dick Lowry Jr, 804 NW 41; a sister, Mrs Ida Cochran, 111 NW 37; and four grandchildren. The family requests that any expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
