Long time Susanville resident Roma Bel Most Abbott passed away Saturday June 10, 2006, at the age of 83.
She was born on March 15, 1923, in Tobias, Neb., the only daughter of Harry and Blanche Most.
She moved to Susanville in 1943 from Lakeview, Ore.
She married her husband Harold L. Abbott in January 1946, at the Susanville United Methodist Church. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
She was active in many youth organizations with her children. She was recently honored as a 50-year-member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is a Past Bethel Guardian of Jobs Daughters.
In addition to her husband Harold, she is survived by her son John Abbott and his wife Deborah, of Susanville, daughter Jane Gardner and her husband Jim of Janesville, grandchildren Amy Gardner, of Temecula, Calif., Brian Gardner and Matthew Gardner of Walnut Creek, Joshua Abbott, of Nevada, Erin Abbott of Susanville and one great-grandson Ryan Gardner, of Temecula.
Graveside services were held June 14, 2006, at the Janesville Cemetery at Janesville, Calif.
