ALEX LOUIS BOHL
Mr. Alex L. Bohl, life-long resident of Devine, passed away Thursday, February 6, 1964.

Rev. Wilfred Passchyn conducted rosary services Friday evening in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel. Saturday morning, February 8, Father Passchyn celebrated requiem high mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and presided over burial services in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mr. Bohl, son of the late Eugene Leo Bohl and Louisa Jungmann Bohl, was born August 14, 1894, near Devine, where he lived all his life. He was married to the former Dora Pauline Schneider on November 23, 1920.

Mr. Bohl was a life-long member of the Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of St. Joseph's Society.

Mr. Bohl was a veteran of World War I, during which time he served a year in France. He served on the Devine Public School Board for 17 years. He was a member of the Medina County School Board at the time of his death. He served on the Medina County ASC Committee for a number of years.

Mr. Bohl was a retired farmer-rancher.

He suffered a heart attack on January 9, 1964, and was admitted to the Santa Rosa Hospital, where he remained until January 31. On February 6, he suffered another heart attack, was again admitted to the Santa Rosa Hospital where he passed away.

Survivors include his widow, Dora Schneider Bohl; two sons, George Alex Bohl of Jourdanton, and Richard Jacob Bohl of Los Alamos, New Mexico; four daughters: Mrs. John (Laura) Maney of Natalia, Miss Adilene Bohl from the country of Jordan, Mrs. Peter (Margie) Irwin of Euless, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Ebrom of San Antonio; and eleven grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Leo Bohl, Sr., of Devine; one sister, Mrs. Bernard (Mary) FitzSimon of Castroville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were James Bohl, Roy Bohl, David FitzSimon, Eugene Graham, Walter Jungman, and Elmer Schneider.
