Deborah L. (Debbie) McMinn, 55, of 112 Dean St., Rome, died February 17, 2006, at Rome Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born August 12, 1950 in Malone, NY, a daughter of Anthony and Eunice Reome Sorrell. Debbie was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On January 31, 1970, she married Kendrick (Ken) McMinn in Rome. Mrs. McMinn worked at Dunkin Donuts for several years, retiring due to disability in 2000. She was formerly active in the Rome Girl Scouts.
Surviving, besides her husband, are her father, Herb Secor, Rome; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tonya and Scott Rood, Munnsville, Renee McMinn, Milton, FL, Kristi and Joseph Serra, Rome; one sister, Sandra Simon, Ashtabula, OH; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Keith and Sandy Sorrell, Milton, FL, Randy Sorrell, Rome, and Timmy Sorrell, Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Brooke, Kendee, Joey, Morgan, Dominica, Julia and Nichole; and her feline friend, Sheldon.
