Edith B. Bax, 98, of Paxtang, passed away in Homeland Center, Harrisburg, and went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, July 11, 2004.Mrs. Bax, who was Paxtang's favorite citizen was born on June 29, 1906 in Harrisburg, to the late J. Frank and Mary Matilda Bernheisel Benner and was the widow of Luther J. Bax.She was a retired supervisor from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Assistance and was a member of the Shared Ministry of Park Street United Methodist Church; the Fourth United Church of Christ and its Englehart Bible Class; the Paxtang Civic Club and the Harrisburg Bridge Club, where she was a master pointer in Bridge.She is survived by her niece, Diane E. Carr of Grayslake, IL and two cousins, Diane S. Fearen and Drue McInnes, both of Camp Hill.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg. Burial will be in the Paxtang Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday
