Ezra marched with his father to the alarm of April 19, 1775 at Lexington, and also served other periods of military duty during the American Revolution. He removed to Thetford, Vermont after the birth of Ednah (1780-1781), and is recorded as a veteran with Captain Jacob Marston's Company, Vermont Line. The next four daughters were born at Thetford, before the birth of Judith at Hartland, Vermont.
