Wayne Badgley was born September 4, 1936 in Wilbur, Washington to Vernon and Eva Badgley.

He died April 24, 2011 in Spokane, Washington.

Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Davenport, where he graduated from high school in 1955. He entered the U.S. Army and served until his discharge on August 21, 1963. He married Jeanne Wahl on September 28, 1962, in Davenport. They had three children: Buck, Jenney and John. Both Wayne and Jeanne were very active in the Davenport Fire Department.

He married Anna Bond on February 14, 1997.

He was a 35-year member of the Davenport Fire Department and belonged to the Washington State Firefighters Association. He worked 19 years for the Lincoln County Road Department. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, cards and spending time at the family cabin on the Spokane River. Family recall how he enjoyed remodeling both his home and cabin, but "spending time with his family was what was most important to him".

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne in 1994; a granddaughter, Hailey Brooke Badgley; great-granddaughter Brianna Marie Becker; two brothers, Jim and Melvin; and two sisters, Helen Badgley and Shirley Webb.
