Gen Anderson passed away after a very lengthy struggle with diabetes. She was born in Albany, New York, and was the daughter of the late Euphemia DeRouville Weldon and stepdaughter of the late John F. Weldon. A Colonie, NY resident most of her life, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald D. Anderson, Sr. and a son, Ronald Charles Anderson. She is survived by her children, Donna Turner, Tina Brown, Lynn Heffernan, Lori Wiley and Donald D. Anderson, Jr. She is the sister of Roseanna Lundgren, Mary Anderson, Josephine Geisel, Ruth McIntyre, John (Sonny) Weldon, Jr., Charles (Chucky) Weldon, Frank Weldon and Donald Weldon. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Beloved aunt and godmother to Wayne Scott Lundgren.

A homemaker most of her life, Gen worked for Albany Memorial Hospital medical records department. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school there. She was a life member of the Capt. William Dale O'Brien Marine Corp League Detachment Auxiliary and an auxiliary member of the Westmere Fire Department. She also belonged to the Senior Citizens at St. Clare's Church. Gen was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.
