James "Rod" McCoy, 58, of Giddings died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 24, at Clements-Wilcox funeral Home in Marble Falls with Doug Lindley officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Burnet. Born Sept. 4, 1947 in Midland, he was the son of James Vincent and Mary (Walker) McCoy.
survivors include his wife of 38 years, Linda McCoy of Giddings; sons and daughter-in-law, Vice and Nicole McCoy; Randy and Tonya McCoy, all of Giddings; mother Mary McCoy of Giddings; sister and brother-in-law Mickey and Wayne Hampton of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his grandson Devon and his father Mac McCoy. Pallbearers include Terry Gipson, Randy Gipson, Johnny Tomas, David Tomas, Fred Tomas, Jimmy Yow. Honorary pallbearers are Craig Walker, Jim Walker, Pete Mommsen.
