A bright and shining star, Marsha Anne Wooldridge, the beautiful daughter, of Michel Don and Patti Lynne Bell Wooldridge, went to live in heaven, October 21, 2002, the result of an automobile accident in Smithville, Texas. A 2000 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High in Sugar Land, Texas, Marsha graduated a year early with honors, recipient of the Environmental Science Student of the Year award and a member of the National Honor Society. She was an avid softball player for Austin High School, the Sugar Land Girls Softball Association, a member of Texas Speed girl's softball team, and participated in the Texas Speed World Series, 1996. She attended AJ Martin Elementary and Owens Middle School, where she was awarded the 1994 Student of the Year award. She then attended Garcia Middle School, where she was a member of the National Junior Honor Society.

Marsha was a junior at the University of St. Thomas, where she was the recipient of the St. Thomas Aquinas Scholarship to study environmental science and law. Active on campus, she served as vice president of the Student Government Association, member of Progressive Voters Action, the Green Party, Greenpeace, PETA. She was employed at Houston Community College Southwest. The family said "Our beautiful angel is with the Lord watching over us. For all who were blessed to know and love her, she will forever be our bright and shining star."

Surviving family members include parents, Michel "Woody" & Patti Bell Wooldridge; and brother, Cody; grandparents, Don and Mary Wooldridge, and Grady and Anne Bell Jr.; aunts and uncles, Grady and Julie Bell III, Janet and Kirby Taylor, Shelly Wells, Steve Wells; cousins, Tricia, Tiffany, Casey, Kimberly, John Grady, and Katie; godparents, Doris and Lyn Odom.

The family is accepting visitors Thursday, October 24, from 4:30-8:00 PM at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Hwy 59 at FM 2218, Rosenberg, TX 77471. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 25, in the Chapel of St. Basil, University of St. Thomas, 3802 Yoakum, Houston, TX. Father Daniel Callum, C.S.B. will officiate the services. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM on Friday, October 25, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Hwy 59 at FM 2218, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Following the graveside service, there will be a reception at First United Methodist Church, 431 Eldridge (north of Hwy 90A), Sugar Land, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for student scholarships to either the HCCS Foundation, c/o Debra Robinson, 10141 Cash Rd., Stafford, TX 77477, or to the University of St. Thomas, c/o Office of Institutional Advancement, 3800 Montrose, Houston, TX 77006.
