Myron Loos, 89, of Villa Grove died at 3 p.m. Monday (May 30, 2011) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born on Nov. 4, 1921 in Sugar Grove to Clarence and Julia Green Loos. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He married Erma Lee Buirley on Jan. 8, 1946. She survives. also surviving are one son, Chuck Loos of Pontoon Beach; one daughter, Judy McDonnell of Raeford, N.C.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one brother, Carrol Loos of O'Fallon, Mo.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the South Pacific for three years during World War II.
