Jane graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1941. She then married Henry G. Castin Jr. in 1946 in Biloxi, MS, and were together for 65 years. She was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Marietta where she was the organist for over 40 years. She worked at Johns Manville for 28 years as the secretary to the plant manager.
Jane is survived by her husband; Henry G. Castin Jr., and two sons, Mike Castin (Sherry) and Steve Castin both of Fairborn, OH. Three grandchildren; Chad Castin of Fairborn, OH, Lori Schumann (Jeff) of Yellow Springs, OH, and Michelle Riley (Andy) of Columbus, OH, there are five great grandchildren; Gavin and Chase Castin, Emma and Jackson Schumann, and Sarah Riley. One sister; Pat Smith of Belpre, OH, and one brother; Harold M. Swisher II of Amherst, VA.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister; Jean K. Elzey.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010, at The First Church of the Nazarene 100 Mill Creek Road in Marietta with Pastor Terry Schmelzenbach officiating beginning at 11 A.M. Visitation will be held Friday, September 3, 2010, at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike Street in Marietta from 4-8 P.M. and Saturday 2 hours prior to the service at the church.
