Gladys Allyn Buried Here
Graveside services for Gladys F. Allyn, 100, who died Dec. 30 at Boise, Idaho, were held Monday, Jan. 6 at the Whipple Cemetery, northwest of Griswold. Wagler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She was born at Lewis, the daughter of Thomas Winfield and Adeline (Pickerill) Burkhalter and was married to Harry W. Allyn. They lived in Jerome, Idaho, where she taught school. At one time she taught school northwest of Griswold in Wright-Township. She had lived at Boise for a number of years.
Surviving are a granddaughter, Mary Floyd, and a sister, Gail Snodgrass, both of Boise, Idaho; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1935; a daughter, Eleanor A. Floyd in 1967; three sisters, Joyce Salter, Hazel Arnold, and Madge Peters; three brothers, Earl, Ray and Lyle Burkhalter.
